Family run business and boy can't you tell! Poor customer service, always looks and sounds like they can't be bothered! But let's get on to the wood, i take it that some of their wood are seconds as some are bent and bowed (I've seen straighter bananas!) I'm fully aware wood has knots but come on! There must be more knots than at a boy scout convention..... please go and see for your self if you think I'm fibbing! I will never waste my time or money again!

A proper traditional woodyard, where nothing is too much trouble, helpful staff, great prices, sawshed will cut what you need. Why go to B&Q and pay for overpriced bent timber when you can pick you're own.

Visited to purchase some sleepers for my garden border and was delighted by the service offered especially by Will who kindly drilled some pilot holes on the sleepers to make assembling easier. Friendly guy who deserves a big shout out and didn’t charge extra for service- absolute super star

Lovely staff - so helpful! They offer great advice and can cut the wood to size for you. Also fab countryside location with lovely birds around (to whom the woodyard is very kind). This is the only place we'll come for wood for sure :-)

Thankfully I have been visiting Bassingfield Woodward Ltd for many years. Many things have changed during that time, even the location but the high quality of timber, the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone in the yard stands out amongst all the rest. It never ceases to amaze me how helpful everyone is and it’s no wonder the business is moving on from strength to strength, well done to all concerned you deserve success .
