Most excellent school. Uml8ke many "schools" :They teach riding properly, and are focused on teaching skills rather than just taking your money. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!

Helen is the perfect coach through the private lessons. There are wide range of horses available for different level of riders. I really like to be in touch with horses and improve my equestrian skills. After 5 months of practice weekly, I can now cantering without using stirrups.

Helen is the nicest, kindest teacher and great at teaching with a good understanding of horses, and really encourages you to come back again and again. This is definitely the highlight. The lessons are fun and have cool exercises and nice horses. One of the few barns that adapts to your level and doesn’t give you an automatic / lazy horse, with massification in lessons. They offer cross country in the summer and livery too.

After some years away from riding, contacted Helen after Christmas and have been enjoying a weekly lesson since. A thoroughly professional and friendly stables. Helen is a superb teacher - and the welfare of the horses and ponies is her top priority. A safe and welcoming environment- thoroughly enjoy my weekly therapy and would recommend totally 😊

Brilliant lessons with Tara, Helen and David. All the horses are so well care for. They teach beginners to rusty riders and advanced riders. Highly recommended.

AMAZING !!!!! As a person aged 60 who was very anxious around horses and took up riding not long before lock down, I was very dubios about giving it another go! Booked a lesson with Helen and she made me feel really relaxed. She has a lovely manner extremely professional and clearly loved her job and her horses. Horses are extreemely well cared for and a very tidy and well run stables and yard. Totally Covid compliant. I was so impressed I went back again the following day. Unfortunately I live in Bristol but will be booking in again when I return to Nottingham Thank you Helen so much for a fantastic lesson, your enthusiasm and encouragemnt. Learnt so much - cant wait to come back! Felt so much more confident .

We had such a good experience at Bassingfeild, took my daughter just before her 5th birthday, the team there was so lovely, could not have made us feel more at ease as we had never been around horses before. The horses themselves were great, so calm and professional. We got to do so much in the first lesson , and Helen really knows her horses like the back of her hand! The school was so accommodating to our needs. Thank you Bassingfeild riding school, will definitely be coming back again!

Bassingfield Riding School is a wonderful family run stables. It has a fantastic family feel with genuine people who love and care for their animals very much. Helen and David work very hard. Their horses are cared for with love and devotion. They have horses and ponies to suit all abilities and ages. Everyone makes you feel very welcome. Both myself and daughter have lessons here. Helen and David have helped me gain back my confidence and teach my daughter to ride. I would highly recommend this stables.

I've been riding here for over 10 years and I keep coming back (even though I now live 70 miles away) because of the quality and variety of the horses, the brilliant instructors and the hugely knowledgeable and lovely owner. The horses thankfully, dont follow the bottom in front; instead, I've learnt they all have their differences and to ride accordingly. I've introduced both my mum and my niece who both love it here too. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
